DescriptionThe African-style architecture unfolds within 600 hectares of native surroundings to create a welcoming environment. Kenny and Len are the proud owners of Thabile Lodge. We decided to move away from the stresses of the corporate world to enjoy a better quality of life in the countryside. We discovered this farm, nestled in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains and decided to call it Thabile.... the Sotho word for ‘a place of happiness’. Our home was always open to friends and family worldwide and we came to realise that most people enjoyed the experience of ‘farm life’ - Thabile Lodge simply became a natural extension of our home... people will arrive as guests, but they will leave as friends. The lodge has gone through a major transformation from humble beginnings, and is now a welcoming rustic retreat, with many special features including handmade basins, screeded floors, high ceilings and magnificent views from the cottages and verandahs. The homestead was always open to friends and family worldwide and soon Len came to realise that most people enjoyed the experience of ‘farm life’.
