Description

 This 2000 hectare bio diversified farm is privately owned and nestled between the majestic Swarberg and Outeniqua mountains on the banks of the Olifants river bed.  Located on one of the world’s “17 hot spots” with 3 overlapping flower zones, only 7 km from Oudtshoorn on the R328 (road to Mosselbay) opposite Safari Ostrich Farm. The colonial style main lodge has lush gardens and open verandas leading to 16 stylish fully equipped  air conditioned rooms. Short drive away, 4 rustic waterfront cabins perfect for a romantic getaway. Inventive and delicious; traditional cooking with a karoo twist. Compliment your evening meal with wines from our very own cellar.Facilities: Eco Farm tours, horse riding, sun downer cruises self guided walks, birding, canoeing, fishing, biking, salt water pool as well as the meerkat magic project that is done on the reserve by Grant McIlrath. Superior Suites
Close to the main homestead are our superior suites, all with large bedrooms, full en-suite bathrooms and open-air showers.

Luxury en-suite rooms at the main homestead

The old colonial homestead is more than 150 years old and is restored to its historic spendour. 11 stylish suites open onto cool verandahs set in a lush indigenous garden with spectacular views over the Outeniqua-, Swartberg mountains and the Olifants Riverbed. Each suite is tastefully styled with warm colours, soft textures and a personal touch. Secure parking is found on site at the main house.

All rooms have the following: Persian carpets, ceiling fan, TV, tea & coffee making facilities, minibar, air-conditioning (heating & cooling), hairdryer and towelling gowns.

Directions

DIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN VIA N2, ± 4½ HOURS DRIVE: * From Cape Town to Oudtshoorn travel along the N2. * Pass Swellendam, and head towards R324 to Barrydale. * From Barrydale travel on R62 to Ladismith. * At Ladismith turn to Calitzdorp to the east. * 500 m before entering the town of Oudtshoorn turn right on the R328 to Mossel Bay. * Travel down the R328 for ± 7 km until you see the De Zeekoe Guest Farm sign, turn right onto a good gravel road for 2 km to the main lodge. DIRECTIONS FROM PORT ELIZABETH, ± 5 HOURS DRIVE: 1. From Port Elizabeth to Knysna travel along the N2. 2. Travel straight through Knysna on the N2. 3. Continue on the N2 to George and then take the R9 North towards Oudtshoorn, which is well sign posted and becomes R62. 4. You will arrive in Oudtshoorn on Langenhoven Road. At the first traffic light turn left onto Voortrekker Rd. 5. Travel through Oudtshoorn on R62 still. 6. About 500 m after leaving the town of Oudtshoorn turn left on the R328 to Mossel Bay. 7. Travel down the R328 for ± 7 km until seeing the De Zeekoe Guest Farm sign, turn right onto a good gravel road for 2 kilometers to the main lodge.
