DirectionsFrom the Garden Route (N2) via the magnificent Tradouws Pass. From Montagu (R62) and the fertile Tradow valley. From Oudtshoorn (R62) over the wide plateau of the klein karoo. These routes met in Barrydale an earthly fragment of paradise, nestling in the folds of the majestic langeberg mountains.
1) Driving from Cape Town up the N2 to Swellendam, turn left and head over the Tradouw Pass until Barrydale. This is a total 260 kilometres, approximately 2 ½ hours. Barrydale is situated 44 kilometres from Swellendam.
2) Driving from Cape Town up the N1, turn right at Worcester onto the R62, keep going through the towns Robertson-Ashton-Montagu. This is a total 230 kilometres, approximately 2 ½ hours. |
